The two BRAVE ONES, Megan and Tracey got up early (no that's not the brave part) and went JET SKIING!!!! The zoomed all the way out to those islands that we have been seeing at sunset and then went SNORKELLING!! Then they jet skiid all the way back. I can tell you I was impressed.
Meanwhile .... I had a massage. That's about as extreme as it gets for me. Best thing I ever did though, as my back is feeling pretty damn good. Think I will do it again tomorrow ... and the next day ...
Now I would like to say that we filled the day with many other exciting and breathtaking moments ... but we don't want to peak to soon.
But I have some happy hour sunset pics ...same time...same place...slight variation. Kylie has taken to planking and while there are other incriminating photos, this is the only one I have so far.
OOOOPS that's not the one ..... give me a sec ...There is a sad sequel to
Kylie's planking exploits because...she actually planked on an ant's nest and we had to resort to "Cocktail first aid."
We finished the day off with a yummy, mmmm mmmmm dinner at the Asian restaurant, and there you are. All
up to date. Tomorrow, Marg arrives. Yaa hoo!!!

Talking about Tuesday
Brekky by the beach and pools provided many delectable offerings and a big surprise for me as the musicians came over and sang Happy Birthday! I nearly choked on my toast!
Thanks Tracey! I was pretty much spoiled all day!
It's only a short walk between resorts so we visited the Sheraton and checked out their stuff.
This was a designated chill-out-don't-do-too-much kinda day. We don't want to peak too early. Megan, Tracey and Mel had massages (80 minutes each!) which has inspired the rest of us to do the same in the days to follow.
What has quickly become the traditional part of the day is 4-6pm happy hour half price cocktails as we watch the sunset over the beautiful ocean,
the boats come home and the islands silhouetted on the horizon. Pity the conversation that goes on at the time isn't as poetic but it sure is fun!!
At dinner, which again was delectable (we are all eating far too much) I had another Happy Birthday serenade, this time by the restaurant staff, along with yummy cake. Thanks Kylie for organising it. This is one birthday to remember!!

Still Wednesday
Don't let the titles of these posts confuse you. It's because I am writing them all on the Wed night after a beautiful dinner and a number of cocktails. Just try and keep up.
My story continues on Monday and yes we have arrived! We hop on a little bus for about a 15 minute drive to the Radisson which is one of a number of resorts close together.
Surprise number One!!! Kath Cav's wonderful son who I have never met but none the less hold in very high esteem for his impeccable taste and style has ordered - and paid for our dinner tonight - which is IN the pool. I say again IN the pool.
A special birthday surprise for Tracey! Four courses, personal waiter, personal chef, very own
bar, personal MUSICIAN, who played and sang ABBA songs, as well as many other Gen X songs (that even Baby Boomers love). How did he know???
It didn't matter that the evening was unseasonably cool. To us it was still lovely even though the Fijians thought it was freezing.
It was the perfect way to begin our holiday!!

Wednesday
Yes, yes we have been here for two days but who has time to blog when the sun and the waves and the pool bar are beckoning? However I will do my best to rectify the situation and scan the memory banks , which may be an impossible task ...
Here we are at departure time and Tracey made sure that we had the essential refreshments to see us through the first stage of our adventure. Crisps coaches as usual provided great service all the way to the door of the Motel and after a lovely dinner at the "Hamo" we had an early night. I shared a bed with Megan and I can assure you that she is a very easy person to sleep with.
Up early on Monday morning for a 6.20am pick up for the airport. We were a bit nervous because Tracey had not had her morning coffee but all went well and before we knew it and a mere few thousand well spent dollars at the duty free shops later, we were on our way!!

Hello everyone,
I have set this up so you can all enjoy/laugh at/ our escapades in Fiji. I hope it actually will be entertaining and we won't spend most of the time actually doing bugger all but lounging, sleeping, chilling ...hey ...what's wrong with that!!
